First start up: "Compilation Terminated" but cannot flash ...

Hello,

First, i hope this is the proper section and something that is worth asking.
If not, let me know.

I am new to PM3 and Linux/Kali. So its quite the learning curve ...
I am trying to use a PM3 easy (512M) with Kali USB drive boot.

I am trying to follow the direction from the RfidResearchGroup/proxmark3
It is very detailed and complete (at least it feel that way), but i get stuck ...

Everything seems to be going well until it is time to install the compiled code.

It seams like teh "make clean && make -j" commend is successful, but I get errors with "sudo make install"
It says "Compilation Terminated", then Error 1 on the next line, and Error 2 on the following ...

[My host server is down atm, ill post a picture as soon as its back up]

I have tried to follow a few different guides, but this is the furthest i ever go.
I am sure (hope at least) it is something simple that i am missing.
I really appreciate any help you could spare.

Thank you,
X

Re: First start up: "Compilation Terminated" but cannot flash ...

There is no reason to use Kali if you don’t want to. For inexperienced Windows users I recommend the precompiled builds.

For Linux make sure you disabled modem manager and have set the correct permissions, see https://github.com/RfidResearchGroup/pr … devttyacm0
For the pm3 easy make sure to set the platform to PM3GENERIC.

"make install" is not required and only recommended if you know everything is working and you don’t plan to update your device.

If compiling succeeds you can try running the pm3 scripts directly from the directory.
