"Communicating with Proxmark3 device failed" on hf search

Hi, I reflashed my PM3 RDV4 ( with BT add-on ) today with the last git pull from https://github.com/RfidResearchGroup/proxmark3
[ice coffee.4.9237][2020-05-21]
Everything went smooth, the client is connecting to the device flawlessly, hw status looks OK to me, but it seems to timeout with a simple "hf search". ( "Communicating with Proxmark3 device failed" )
I stays stucked there with the "D" red led up.
I'm on windows / WSL2.

Can anyone kindly point me to a possible fix or hint on what's happening here??

If I understood correctly the last reply on this issue, this is a bug and i'll have to get back to an older commit to get my RDV4 to work?
Also, yeah, i'm on WSL1 on this particular VM.

Even more bleeding edge than expected.

As of right now, don't compile with BTADDON option on current master.
