switch from stand-alone mode to pc-connected mode?

I saw a video on internet showing that someone use PM3 to take a sniffing in stand-alone mode and then connect it to a computer to collect data.I just want to ask how to switch from stand-alone mode to pc-connected mode, without data losing? In my opinion, the switch needs to disconnect the battery and connect the PC-USB line.HOW TO SAVE THE DATA SNIFFED JUST NOW FROM RUBBING BY RESTARTING?
anyone knows?

Re: switch from stand-alone mode to pc-connected mode?

you need a 7205 ic  to conect a batery and give up a 5v or used a 5v batery. then you need to iron in the pcb that batery, you could iron near the usb conector. the ends pins of the usb port ar +5vcc and gnd.
Or follow the electric lines from the usb and iron it where you want.
After that make a usb conector with only 2 pins, the central ones are the data pins.
