Does the PM3 rdv4 have power-saving features?

I'm considering developing a standalone application that needs to run every once in a while and idles the rest of the time, on a PM3 with a BlueShark module. It needs to last at least 8 hours on a battery charge.

Is it possible to shut down parts of the board / send the CPU to sleep / have it wake up on BLE events... that sort of things?

No really.  You might consider the idea of hooking up the pm3 to a usb battery that lasts eight hours as a quick fix.

Remember the pm3 consumes most when the rf fields are on.

Re: Does the PM3 rdv4 have power-saving features?

Okay thanks. I'll leave it running idling, see how long it lasts doing nothing.

The external battery pack isn't really an option: I'd like to turn a PM3 + BlueShark into a wearable. It's a nice little platform: it already has everything I need onboard in a compact format. But maybe battery life will make the idea unworkable.
