Is RSSI available?

I could really use a reliable Receive Signal Strength Indicator(RSSI) measurement for ISO14443-A, as an indication of inlay quality.

I see "rssi" as a column in many posts on this forum, but the value is almost always blank or zero.  Like here:
http://www.proxmark.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1797

proxmark3> hf 14a list
recorded activity:
ETU     :rssi: who bytes
---------+----+----+-----------
+      0:    :     26
+     63:   0: TAG 02  00

Plus, my Proxmark does not display the rssi column header:

Start |        End | Src | Data (! denotes parity error)                                   | CRC | Annotation         |
------------|------------|-----|-----------------------------------------------------------------|-----|--------------------|
          0 |       1056 | Rdr | 26                                                              |     | REQA
       2244 |       4612 | Tag | 44  00                                                          |     |
       8512 |      10976 | Rdr | 93  20                                                          |     | ANTICOLL
      12164 |      17988 | Tag | 88  04  3d  f9  48                                              |     |
      22320 |      32848 | Rdr | 93  70  88  04  3d  f9  48  88  67                              |  ok | SELECT_UID

My Proxmark is from Elechouse.  I have not found a Version command in the CLI, so I can't say what the firmware is.

Is there firmware that will give me an RSSI number?  Is the number real?

Re: Is RSSI available?

The RSSI column was for 14b only. But even in this mode it didn't work correctly. The column has therefore been eliminated.

Re: Is RSSI available?

Would you need it in the hf list command? Or would a dedicated hf rssi command work for you as well?

Re: Is RSSI available?

Do you want to measure the signal from a card or a reader?

Re: Is RSSI available?

I'm looking for a measurement of the strength of the reply from the inlay.  If an inlay has had one trace of its loop cut, or has poor chip bonding, it can still reply but the reply will be weak.  I'm trying to find a way to detect that.  I have not found an HF reader that presents RSSI, and am hoping that the proxmark can be made to do it.
