Unable to flash in Windows using R681

Hi,

Can any kind souls please help me out with this?

I was trying to flash my board with the latest firmware but keep getting the same error no matter which version I used.  I have followed the instructions from the PDF file and other threads but I only get the same error message.  Following is the details I got back:

Loading ELF file '..\firmware_win\bootrom\bootrom.elf'...
Loading usable ELF segments:
0: V 0x00100000 P 0x00100000 (0x00000200->0x00000200) [R X] @0x94
1: V 0x00200000 P 0x00100200 (0x00000b60->0x00000b60) [RWX] @0x298
Attempted to write bootloader but bootloader writes are not enabled
Error while loading ..\firmware_win\bootrom\bootrom.elf
Press any key to continue . . .

Is there something that I am missing here?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Unable to flash in Windows using R681

Can you print the command you used to flash? Because it seems that you forgot to put the -b argument (that enables bootrom writing)

Re: Unable to flash in Windows using R681

Thanks Roel.

I was using the "FLASH - NEW Bootrom (uses old flasher exe).bat" file and like you said, the '-b' attribute was not enabled.

I have just added it in and now it looks like this:
flasher-OLD.exe -b ..\firmware_win\bootrom\bootrom.elf

And should I carry on to flash the OS and FPGA as well?

Based on the PDF document within the package, I should be seeing it appearing in the COM port section after I install the driver again.  But currently, I am still seeing it under the libusb-win32 devices.  Is this correct?
