FPGA development

Having been through the pain of installing from scratch, here is an update for the manual:

FPGA development software is available free from Xilinx at the following address:

 http://www.xilinx.com/support/download/index.htm

You will need to create an account and log in to get to the software selection page. Once there, in the "Quick Links" section on the left hand side of the page, you will see a link to "Register and download 10.1 and earlier software". The version you need is "ISE WebPack 10.1" - DO NOT download the current or any version greater than 10 - versions 11 onwards do not support the Spartan II hardware.

The zipfile contains both a Windows and a Linux installer - "setup.exe" and "setup" respectively.

Unzip and run. The rest should be self explanatory! (Note it is safe to install updates for version 10, e.g. 10.1 Service Pack 3).

Once you've installed the tools, the file "go.bat" in the fpga subdirectory will build the image under Windows, or use 'make' under Linux.

(Note that I have not yet created the Makefile for Linux but will do so over the next few days...)

RFID tags support table

You are right, it is more the purpose of this section to discuss these things.

So a quick overview is now available here.

Are there any tags/modulations that we forgot? Should we add also tags that are not supported at the moment?
I think it is very useful to have a complete overview of all RFID tags/modulation types.... there are so many standards...

Is a NEDAP tag really using 120kHz in stead of 125 or is this a typo?

Maybe we should split up "manufacturer" and "type".
For example, NXP produces I-Code, hitag(2) and MIFARE. EM Marin 4100 is produced by STMicroelectronics, etc.
It would be good for reader to have an idea to search when they want to determine their tag-type.

Do we know anything about the Atmel CryptoRF tags, besides that it uses ISO14443-B ?

Hi all,

I have just added a new page about working with (simple) low frequency tags with the Proxmark.

Hey Ed,

I thought it would be useful to let people give you an easy feedback on the manual.
As a kick-start I would like to give my contribution .

In the "running" section the following trace is incomplete. It misses the [ 93 20 ] message between the ATQA and UID+BCC.

cheers,

 Roel

proxmark3> hi14alist
